Saucepan Scotchies

Brownie:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1.5 cups sifted flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Frosting:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup evaporated milk
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar

Brownie:

  1. Melt butter in saucepan, remove from heat
  2. Add sugar and blend
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well
  4. Stir in vanilla
  5. Sift together flour and baking powder, then stir into mix until well combined
  6. Pour into greased 9×13 baking pan and bake at 350o F for about 30 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center is clean. DON’T OVERBAKE!
  7. Frost with frosting

Frosting:

  1. Boil together for 3 minutes
  2. Remove from heat and let cool
  3. Beat in 1.5 cups of powdered sugar
