Never Fail (Parker House) Rolls

  • 1 square butter, melted
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp dry yeast
  • 5 1/2 cups flour
  • Additional melted butter for dipping (see Step 7)
  1. Beat butter, warm water, sugar, salt and eggs until well combined
  2. Add yeast and flour, then beat well. Mixture will be quite soft
  3. Let rise for 1 hour at room temperature
  4. Put in refrigerator for at least 1 hour
  5. Roll out dough on heavily floured board to about 3/8″ thickness
  6. Use a cup or circle cutter to cut dough into 2″ circles
  7. Dip one end of the dough into melted butter and place on a cookie sheet, folding in half
  8. Let rise 1 hour at room temp
  9. Bake for about 12 minutes at 425o
